The Novation Launchkey Mini MK2 is the most compact, portable Midi keyboard controller. The new Launchkey Mini MK2 may be small; however it provides everything needed to create music in Ableton Live without using up all the desk space. 

The Launchkey Mini MK2 has been designed to make producing electronic music easy and fun. All of the controls on the Launchkey work as soon as the unit is plugged in and are arranged to make logical sense with Ableton Live. The Launchkey Mini MK2 also includes 16 velocity sensitive pads which allow the user to launch clips and play beats. The pads light up when the clips are loaded and the play and recording are laid out on the unit to match the Ableton Live session view; one row to launch clips and one row to end them. The instruments can be easily tweaked using the eight high-quality knobs and ideas can be sketched out on a 25-note mini keyboard with a fast synth-style action that makes it pleasant to play.

The Launchkey Mini is a compact tough unit that can be taken anywhere. It will work the moment it is plugged into a laptop and does not need any drivers or power cables as it is class compliant and bus-powered via USB. The Launchkey Mini MK2 can also be connected to an iPad via a Camera Connection Kit to control all sorts of iOS music apps e.g. Novations free Launchkey App.

Novation Launchkey Mini MK2 also integrates immediately with FL Studio, Pro Tools, Reason, Cubase, Logic as well as Ableton Live without any mapping whatsoever. It comes with everything required to start making music including Ableton Live Lite, Novation Bass Station and V-Station virtual instruments along with 1GB of samples from Loopmasters.
