The Bio-cellulose diaphragm

In S05, the bio-cellulose speaker diaphragm is made of bacterial cellulose, which is an organic compound produced by certain bacteria. Bio-cellulose is a fascinating material for a variety of reasons, including the fact that it is reusable, biodegradable, and has excellent acoustic properties.

The role it plays when listening to music

When music is played via headphones that are badly built and contain a lot of harmonic distortion, it actually sounds wrong and unnatural. This is because harmonic distortion alters our perception of the sound's timbre and tonality, which is obviously troublesome when creating music or mixing a track. The biocellulose diaphragm on the TMA-2 Studio, on the other hand, will faithfully replicate music at high volume levels with great clarity.

S05 - Speaker units

The biocellulose diaphragm was combined with a high-grade neodymium magnet for the S05, resulting in a speaker module with a clear mid-range, improved dynamics, and a more natural overall tonality. When tuning the speaker, AIAIAI focused on the clarity of the mid-range without sacrificing the extension of the bass range. As a consequence, the sound stage is very wide, with excellent instrumental separation.
