A new version of Engine DJ software has been released in the form of 3.0. It brings new and improved features for Engine DJ OS and Engine DJ Desktop to all Denon DJ and Numark hardware running Engine DJ software. Engine DJ software is a desktop music management system for desktop or standalone use.
Engine DJ OS and Desktop New Features
The version 3.0 update has a New Drop Sampler for Standalone DJ Systems and Media Players. This is a first within the industry and was previously only available via software on a laptop or via a dedicated sampler hardware unit. Eight slots are available to store and trigger drums, drops, FX, risers and more across all Engine DJ hardware devices. This new update also includes preloaded Drop Sample content in the form of one-shot samples, drums and more.
Another new feature is related to the performance pad heads-up display, which allows the user to see vital information at a glance, including Hot Cue and Loop names, loaded Samples and Roll and Loop time divisions.
All Engine DJ units now have access to Sampler Content, a selection of preloaded samples including scratch phrases, complete drum, kits, impact hits, risers and a range of other effects.
Remote Library is another enhancement where users can access the whole Engine DJ (Desktop) music collection directly from the hardware via Wi-Fi or wired networks. This feature update is available across both the OS and Desktop. Once the software/hardware is connected, the Engine DJ collection can be selected as a media source.
There have been many other enhancements and improvements, including stability, effect parameter recall, improved Wi-Fi connectivity and an improved Sync Manager mechanism for calculating track and Playlist differences between two drives.
How to get Engine DJ Software V3.0
Engine DJ 3.0 OS and Desktop are available now to download from the Engine DJ website. Hardware downloads can be done directly using a suitable Wi-Fi or wired connection.
Here is a final note from Jason Stout, Product Manager for DJ Brands “In today’s DJ world, where live-streaming continues to play such a big part in our industry, it’s more important than ever to make your DJ set stand out from the competition,” and “having access to custom DJ drops and samples enables the DJ to add a personal touch to their performances, all from the DJ hardware. We’re super excited to bring these highly requested features to our users and have several more enhancements on the roadmap for this year.”
