ADAM Audio will mark 25 years of research, development, and manufacturing industry-leading monitoring systems by releasing a limited edition A7V nearfield monitor in White. The arctic white finish has a sumptuous feel and will stand out in any studio or home audio system. The A7V White has the same specifications as its original (black) version, including Sonarworks integration for automated room correction.
The A Series A7V White is a development of ADAM Audio's best-selling and award-winning A7X. The two-way A7V White has a new 7-inch woofer composed of Multi-Layer Mineral (MLM) fibres and ADAM Audio's handmade precision X-ART tweeter, delivering a wide frequency range of 40 Hz to 45 kHz. Rotatable HPS waveguide technology and onboard DSP-based tuning options allow you to tailor the sound of the A7V White to your specific room needs and sonic preferences.
Adam Audio uses HPS (High-Frequency Propagation System) waveguide technology, which allows the tweeters to disseminate sound with regulated consistency. The A Series now includes a rotatable function that allows tweeters to be adjusted by 90 degrees. As a result, the HPS waveguide technology will function properly regardless of whether the speaker is mounted horizontally or vertically.
The Adam Audio X-ART tweeter is located in the heart of the HPS waveguide, which is made of a revolutionary glass fibre polymer composition to generate clean sound and eliminate undesired resonance.
The A7V woofers are made of a lightweight, highly stable material that contains a unique blend of natural stone fibres. The factors employed are model-specific, including mineral composition, stacking, and geometry. When you combine this technology with the new magnet system, you get woofers with great output and little distortion, resulting in a pristine low-end.
The A7V woofers are powered by Class D amplifiers, which help to produce high-quality sound while minimising distortion. Class AB amplifiers power the tweeters and midrange drivers, ensuring that high frequencies are reproduced naturally and smoothly. It is worth noting that Adam Audio conducted rigorous testing to obtain the perfect components.
The A Series of speakers takes advantage of the transformative power of DSP-based electronics, allowing for more precise tuning and predictability than analogue-only speakers. Furthermore, the firmware may be upgraded via an Ethernet connection, providing access to the most recent technological breakthroughs, such as filter kinds, features, and voicings.
The back panel of the speakers features four bands of room adaptation equalisation (Desk, Bass, Presence, and Treble). Furthermore, each band is customisable, with over 100 tuning options to accommodate speaker location and ambient factors.
Voicings is a predefined sound profile that may be found on the speakers' rear panel. There are 'UNR', 'Pure', and 'Ext' options available. Adam Audio's 'UNR' stands for 'Uniform Natural Response™', which creates a dynamic and natural-sounding response curve suitable for music production, composition, songwriting, and listening. Pure is a very accurate neutral-sounding choice, sometimes known as the 'flat' setting (excellent for mixing and mastering), while 'Ext' refers to the enhanced capability that A Control provides when connected via Ethernet.
A Control is free downloadable software that allows DSP-based functionality to be remotely controlled in real time via Ethernet. It may handle several speakers at once and alter equalisation, delay settings, monitor levels, and other important parameters.
The A Series of speakers are meant to adapt to changing preferences, needs, and situations. Sonarworks' embedded platform has powerful filters that help with room acoustics and speaker calibration.
The speakers are extremely versatile, with deeper bevelling to reduce diffraction, thicker baffle walls to strengthen the cabinets and reduce internal vibrations, and a flared-port design that optimises airflow and lowers port noise. Furthermore, all A Series speakers incorporate an underneath mounting interface, allowing for greater positioning versatility.
The Adam Audio A7V comes with a two-year basic warranty, which may be extended to five years by registering in the Adam Audio website's "My ADAM" User Area.
