Pioneer DJ DDJ-FLX10 4-channel DJ Controller

The Pioneer DJ DDJ-FLX10 is a powerful 4-channel DJ controller for rekordbox and Serato DJ Pro with new features and effects. The FLX10 controller allows users to mix tracks from different genres easily, isolate audio parts, scratch, and more.

DDJ-FLX10 Design and Layout

The DDJ-FLX10 features two generously sized jog wheels with a multi-coloured jog ring, the first to ever feature on a Pioneer DJ Controller. The jog ring shows different parts of a track being played when utilising the track separation feature, or you can set the colour to your preferred liking. Additionally, the on-jog display has been extended through personal customisation of the display itself, so you choose what you want to see. There are four different display modes:

• Deck Info mode shows vital deck information, including overall waveform.
• Waveform mode, which displays zoomed-in Waveforms for two decks.
• Artwork mode, which displays the artwork for the current track that is in play.
• DJ Logo mode, which displays your logo or an image you select.

Eight durable back-lit rubber Performance Pads on each deck can trigger Beat Jump, Hot Cues, Pad FX and Sampler. In addition, the MAGVEL FADER on the DDJ-FLX10 has been upgraded from a 2-sensor system to a 4-sensor system, meaning it is extra sensitive and responsive, allowing for the most minor adjustments made.

Track Separation Technology

The Pioneer DJ DDJ-FLX10 features track separation technology where you can upload a track from your music library and split it into three different components, drums, vocals and inst, which is other instruments, including bass and synths, directly from the controller to create exciting and creative mashups on the fly.

There are dedicated buttons to control each section which are colour-coded for ease. There is Active Part and Part ISO, which allow for individual adjustment of the volume, including the option to mute the selected part, FX Part Select, where you can choose which track section you want the effects applied to and Part Instant Double, which isolates a section of the track and then transfers it to another deck.

Software Compatibility

Rekordbox and Serato DJ Pro can be used effectively, with the DDJ-FLX10 offering plug-and-play capability. In addition, there is DVS support for rekordbox through subscription plans, which also applies to Serato DJ Expansions or Serato DJ Suite.

Additional Features and Benefits

For rekordbox users, there are some additional features in the form of Mix Point Link and DMX output for rekordbox Lighting mode.

Mix Point Link is precisely what it states: it links mix points on tracks, so a track comes in at exactly the precise moment seamlessly, with no manual intervention, to prevent any sound clashes.

DMX output for rekordbox Lighting mode means no additional equipment, e.g., DMX interface, is required to add lighting effects to your performances. All that needs to be connected to the Pioneer DJ DDJ-FLX10 controller is DMX-compatible lighting equipment. You can then let rekordbox take care of the rest.

Various connections on the DJ Controller allow flexibility, including using a single USB Type-C cable to connect directly to a PC or Mac. You will be automatically notified of any firmware updates when they are available.
