Pioneer PLX-1000 DJ Turntable features a high-torque direct-drive system and multi-pitch control, all encased within a sturdy club-standard shell.
Please note, the PLX-1000 does not come with a DJ Turntable Cartridge.
Meet the Pioneer PLX-1000 professional direct-drive DJ turntable. To mark 20 years in the DJ industry, Pioneer have designed and released an up-to-date, traditional turntable, the PLX-1000. It is the modern professional turntable that retains the well-known layout with the addition of some latest modifications. These included a high-torque direct drive system and multi-pitch control, all encased within a sturdy club-standard shell. The turntable includes the latest technology to produce the top-quality sound output we have come to expect from Pioneer products.
The high-torque direct drive system installed within the PLX-1000 turntable is sturdy, hard-wearing and offers stable rotation. A direct drive is a system that connects the motor and turntable directly. The turntable can provide a starting torque (strength of rotational force) of 4.5kg.cm minimum and can achieve a fixed rotation speed of 33⅓ rpm in 0.3 seconds.
Pioneer has designed the PLX 1000 to produce high-quality, analogue vinyl, sound output just as you would expect from a Pioneer product. To start, rubber tubing has been fitted inside the S-shaped tonearm to reduce howling, improve isolation and prevent feedback. The turntable has vibration-reducing properties in the form of a heavy die-cast zinc casing, 8mm thick resin lower section and a 9mm thick, vibration-dampening material, base. The PLX1000 sound quality is enhanced by the directly transmitted phono signal with stable plugs and the gold plated RCA jacks.
The variable width of tempo has the capability of being modified by selecting from three levels: ±8%, ±16% and ±50%. There is also a ‘Reset’ button on the turntable that reverts the fixed rotation speed back to ±0%.
Both the audio and power cables on Pioneer's PLX-1000 are detachable, which assists greatly when transporting the unit. It helps to reduce the risk of cable damage which in turn could affect the quality of both the sound and performance of the turntable. This also grants the user the flexibility on what they wish to connect to the system to suit their own personal preference.
The well-thought-through structure of the record player allows for cable space meaning the cables do not protrude the outer dimensions of the turntables casing.
DJ play is smoother by reducing the operation sound of the
Incorporating rubber and springs on the dampening sections of the insulator results in external vibrations from noise being absorbed and cut-off.
Rough edges to the underside (left/right) of the unit ensure a grip is established when transporting the turntable.
