The Fire MIDI controller comes equipped with 64 velocity-sensitive RGB backlit performance pads that allow you to step sequence patterns as well as triggering phrases and MIDI clips and can also be used as a keyboard allowing you to play with three octaves of notes. The performance pads can be used in three modes; these include note mode, drum mode, and performance mode. When in note mode the Fire’s performance pads can be used to add melodies and harmonies with three octaves of notes at your disposal so you can play all of your instruments and VSTs. The drum mode works to provide you with an MPC-style 16 pad layout that has seamless integration with FPC and SliceX and is perfect for those producers and performers who are after a traditional beat-making experience. Multi-device mode lets you connect up to four Fire controllers at once allowing for unprecedented control over FL’s mixing and production workflow and enables you to expand the 4 x 16 pad matrix into an 8 x 32 matrix opening up a world of creative possibilities.
