From the cone to the cabinet, the PRX908 is made with the latest JBL sonic innovations in mind. Even at full power, the high-frequency response of the JBL 2408H-2 1.5" compression driver with poly-annular diaphragm and neodymium magnet is clear and detailed thanks to its patented design. High-quality NTC thermistors protect sensors by sending less power to them when they are getting close to their temperature limit. With updated JBL Image Control Waveguides and new, innovative horns, the beamwidth and directivity are at their best. A next-generation woofer with a ferrite magnet makes bass and mids sound smooth and natural.

Power Performance

PRX900 systems easily meet big performance spaces' high power and performance needs. The PRX908 is powered by a very efficient 2,000W (peak) Class D power amp, so even at maximum volume, the sound is clear and well-defined with little power compression. A bridged woofer amp keeps current spikes from going to the ground and lowers crosstalk harmonics to the compression driver. A power factor correction (PFC) power source stabilises the voltage load sent to the amplifier. High-quality, high-linearity inductors provide high power efficiency and low total harmonic distortion. Low-noise, low-distortion input gain staging optimises range and headroom for various gain needs. A good DAC and ADC can convert music with almost no loss. And with a full-bandwidth CMRR (Common Mode Rejection Ratio) of more than 55 dB and a THD (total harmonic distortion) value of 32 dB, system noise is almost nonexistent.

Set your sound with the best DSP in its class

The PRX908 loudspeaker comes with all kinds of DSP, accessed through the JBL Pro Connect app and the full-colour LCD. Processing contains a 12-band parametric EQ and advanced system settings. Onboard dbx DriveRack technology has live and set Automatic Feedback Suppression, soft system limiters, and 180ms of speaker delay in 100-microsecond increments for perfectly timed systems.

Flexible and able to grow

Mix and match monitors and subwoofers from the PRX900 Series in different ways to meet the needs of both mobile and permanent installations. PRX908 features dual 36mm pole sockets and six M10 suspension points. A built-in gyrosensor optimises the settings based on where the monitor or mains are placed.

JBL Pro Connect App

The JBL Pro Connect app has Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) features that let you handle a system with up to 10 speakers and integrate JBL AEON ONE MK2, PRX ONE, and EON700 loudspeakers. The app gives users full access to the PRX900 Series' DSP package. With the touch of a button, users can mute channels and speakers, adjust speaker names, and flash all unit LEDs to make it easier to tell which speaker is which. Speaker snapshots and groups are only available in the app.

Road Ready Components

The components of the PRX908 are housed in a robust and lightweight case that improves sound quality and longevity. Its cabinet is made from a blend of polypropylene and talcum, designed to be as rigid as possible. It also has a computer-modelled internal ribbed design, giving it the most structural stability and the most minor cabinet noise.
