HK Audio Linear 3 L3112FA 12-Inch Active Loudspeaker

The HK Audio Linear 3 L3112FA is an active 12-inch full-range loudspeaker that comes fitted with a 12-inch woofer alongside a 1-inch tweeter that provides you with a full-range, high-definition sound that is perfectly balanced across the frequency spectrum. A bi-amplified Class D amplifier works seamlessly with the digital signal processor to deliver the power you need. This speaker is great for mobile DJs, bands, musicians, schools and colleges, theatres, events productions, music venues, club and bar venues, and conferences.

This Linear 3 speaker is fitted with a 12-inch woofer as well as a 1-inch high-frequency tweeter that work effortlessly to provide you with a high-quality sound with a frequency response that ranges from 58 Hz – 18 kHz. The bi-amplified design uses a Class D amplifier to deliver 1200w of peak power and an exceptional sound pressure level of 135dB. A range of active protection circuits work to ensure the speaker always gives you the best performance possible. The protection circuits include a thermal protector with a look ahead temperature control, a short circuit protector, under-voltage and over-current protection, a subsonic filter, and peak, RMS, and multiband limiters.

A powerful digital signal processor provides you with four EQ presets including bass boost, low-frequency flat, mid-high frequency flat, and contour. The EQ presets ensure the speaker will always sound great no matter the application. The on-target directional design helps to reduce sonic reflections from walls and ceilings while very low total harmonic distortion means there is no listening fatigue. An intelligent multiband limiter means overloaded and loud signals will not affect the tonal integrity of the speaker giving you a perfect sound at all times. FIR crossover filtering gives you a clear mid-range when used with a subwoofer.

The rear of this loudspeaker includes a wealth of audio connections allowing you to connect to a range of audio equipment to the speaker. The audio connections include two combo ¼-inch TRS Jack/XLR inputs, a stereo RCA input, two XLR thru outputs, and an XLR mix output. A robust cabinet features a 16mm thick MDF construction that is finished with textured acrylic enamel that prevents impacts from damaging the enclosure. A metal grille covers the drivers and features acoustically transparent foam that ensures no dust or dirt can enter the system. The cabinet is fitted with two HK multi-grip handles for ease of transport while four M8 rigging points so you can suspend the speaker if necessary.
