The Korg NanoKey Studio is a compact 25-key MIDI keyboard that provides you with a keyboard, control knobs, eight performance pads, and a touchpad that allows you to turn your inspiration into sound instantly. The NanoKey Studio comes equipped with 25 velocity-sensitive backlit keys that let you easily record into your DAW and feature a ‘Scale Guide’ function that illuminates the notes in your chosen scale making it easier to stay in the correct key. The smart keyboard also features a variety of performance modes including the ‘Easy Scale’ function that enables you to generate musical phrases using any keys which is perfect for those who are unfamiliar with playing the keyboard. This keyboard can connect to your computer via USB as well as wirelessly via Bluetooth and can even connect to your iOS devices such as an iPad or iPhone for MIDI control over your music applications like the Korg Gadget or Apple’s GarageBand and thanks to the careful tuning you’ll love the low-latency and high-stability.

Eight highly-sensitive performance pads enable you to play drum grooves as well as piano chords and will convey all the subtle nuances of your performance. When in chord playing mode the ‘Chord Scale’ function will automatically assign you the best chords for the key and scale you’re in. You can also assign the pads to trigger audio clips and samples which is great for on-the-fly performances. There is also a touchpad that has been inherited from the Kaossillator range of instruments and provides you with one-finger control over your software synthesiser and modulation sources; the touchpad can also be used to control the arpeggiator rhythm patterns so you can generate musical phrases by merely touching the pad. Eight assignable knobs provide you with versatile control over your virtual instruments, effects, and even your DAW mixer.

This MIDI device is smaller than a sheet of A5 paper and is slim-lined, so it can easily be placed in your travel bag or flight case and features a simple, refined, stylish design that is equipped with white LEDs that let you see the keyboard’s functions and keys with ease.
