Korg Nu:Tekt NTS-2 Oscilloscope Kit

The Nu:Tekt NTS-2 is a do-it-yourself oscilloscope kit with various uses for musicians. NTS-2 is a DIY device that builds on a 4-channel oscilloscope by adding a flexible waveform generator, a spectrum analyser, and a tuner, all packed into a smart, compact device.

The NTS-2 kit is small and simple yet delivers a powerful punch! It is an oscilloscope, tuner, FFT, and spectrum analyser that is precise, easy to use, and extremely useful. It can be plugged into a synth rig and use its dual waveform generators to provide an extra pair of oscillators or LFOs by using its dual stereo IN, dual stereo THRU/OUT, and two independent outputs.

With two stereo inputs, you can easily compare and overlap up to four streams simultaneously. Various display settings allow you to customise how your data is displayed, and the user interface is simple and quick thanks to dedicated menu buttons, a clickable encoder knob, and a 2.8-inch colour LCD screen. NTS-2 even offers a powerful "Lissajous" mode for more fun with your device, opening the door to creativity and allowing you to visualise publicly available oscilloscope art.

Dual Waveform Mode

A versatile Wave Generator mode includes two oscillators with independent outputs. Each oscillator can generate a wide range of waveforms, including sine, triangle, square, pulse, sawtooth, and noise, the shape and phase of which can be changed to suit a wide range of applications. These sounds can be utilised in the audio range or as control voltage sources, and they can be configured to cycle continuously or as one-shot impulses, allowing them to be used as LFOs, triggers, envelopes, control voltage generators and sound sources. The NTS-2's power is quickly increased by connecting it to any patchable synthesiser.

FFT/Spectrogram Analyser

The Korg Nu:Tekt NTS-2 also includes a specialised FFT (Fast Fourier Transform) mode and a real-time spectrum analyser.

Strong Connectivity

The Korg NTS-2 has numerous connection methods. In addition to its 4-channel input and dual waveform output capabilities, the twin stereo THRU/OUT ports allow you to keep it hooked into your system rather than continually plugging and unplugging wires.
