The Mackie MR524 speaker is an active studio monitor that features a brand new design and is equipped with a 5-inch polypropylene woofer as well as a 1-inch silk dome tweeter that delivers fast transients and a dynamic low end. This speaker also features acoustic tuning technology that works to give you clarity and fantastic accuracy.
The MR524 studio monitors have a broad frequency response that ranges from 45 Hz all the way to 20 kHz and also makes use of a logarithmic waveguide that offers an extensive listening sweet spot for an enhanced stereo image so you can always have a perfectly balanced mix. On the rear of the MR524 there are Acoustic Space Controls that let you adjust the speaker’s frequency response depending on how your studio sounds, this allows the speaker to be optimised for the environment you are using them in and results in a perfectly flat frequency response, perfect for mixing down. Whether you’re mixing down some hard electro, dubstep or hip-hop or recording some vocal tracks, you can always be confident your mix down will sound excellent on any other speaker system.
The MR524 speaker is housed in a sleek all-wooden cabinet that will look professional in any studio and also includes a custom-designed internal brace that gives you additional stiffness; this results in reduced distortion and a fatter low-end response. The MR524’s have been acoustically optimised using sound tightening acoustic absorption material and offers many versatile input connections so you can connect to almost any audio source allowing you to integrate these speakers into any existing setup with ease.
