The Focusrite Scarlett OctoPre provides you with eight additional inputs and is the perfect way to expand your Scarlett or any other interface with an ADAT input. The Scarlett OctoPre features eight 2nd generation Scarlett microphone inputs, as well as balanced line inputs, all going through Focusrite precision 24-bit conversion at up to 192kHz resolution with a 109dB dynamic range.
Two high-headroom, dual instrument inputs handle high output signals from guitars and basses and are easily accessed on the front panel. The high-headroom inputs alongside a pad on each channel, the Scarlett OctoPre is perfect for drum tracking, keyboards, vocals and so much more.
Eight balanced line outputs can be sourced directly from the inputs and allow the OctoPre to be used in a live situation while capturing the recording via the digital ADAT output. ADAT is an easy way of expanding your analogue inputs and uses inexpensive “light-pipe” cables to carry up to eight channels of audio. Simply connect the ADAT output on the OctoPre to the ADAT input on your audio interface, set your clock source and sample rate and you’re ready to get recording. ADAT inputs are available on a whole host of Focusrite and third-party interfaces.

The new collection of software and plugins provides you with a strong set of tools and compliments your recording studio no end. As a result, creativity can flow naturally, and all of your ideas can be captured using XLN Audio Addictive Keys, Addictive Drums 2: Studio Rock Kit, Antares Auto-Tune® Access, Brainwork bx_console Focusrite SC and Softube Marshall® Silver Jubilee 2555.

The Hitmaker Expansion is popular among music makers and producers since it allows them to write, record, mix, and master studio-quality results. All of this is possible with the present tools; but, with the inclusion of Landr, recordings may now go to the next level - distribution.
