The Yamaha MSP3A is an active reference monitor speaker that comes equipped with a 4-inch woofer alongside a 1/8-inch tweeter and two front-facing bass ports which all work in perfect harmony to deliver a thick, full-range sound. The Yamaha MSP3A studio monitor makes use of a two-way bass reflex design alongside a built-in power amplifier that has been optimised for the speaker units and ensures clear natural sound. The integrated power amp offers 22w of power directly to the drivers, which provide you with a huge sound. A built-in magnetic shield works to prevent interference with your monitor TV, computer, and phone and acts like a Faraday cage that stops unwanted clicks and pops from ruining your sound, making it perfect for post-production studios.

The rear of the speaker is equipped with a range of audio connections that let you connect to a variety of audio sources and equipment. An XLR connector allows for a direct connection to a +4dB mixer output while RCA connectors and a ¼-inch TRS Jack input let you connect to electronic musical instruments such as keyboards and synthesisers. A tone control gives you the ability to optimise your sound according to your monitoring environment and effectively compensates for anomalies that are caused by speaker placement or room resonance. The bottom of the MSP speaker features threaded holes that can be used to attach an optional bracket for mounting to a ceiling or wall. Using the BMS-10A mic stand adapter, you can mount the speaker to a standard microphone stand.
