RCF’s Ayra 5 is an active two-way nearfield studio monitor that is primarily designed for home use such as multi-media projects, gaming, casual listening and home recording.
It features a 5-inch composite fiberglass woofer paired with a 1 inch soft dome tweeter, which is able to deliver frequencies from 55Hz to 20Khz, with the crossover point being at 2.1Khz. On the back of the speaker, there are inputs for XLR, Jack and RCA, allowing for connection to the most common audio cables. Built into the speaker is a soft limiter, which protects the drivers from clipping and distortion. Additionally, there is a control to adjust the high frequencies and control to adjust the volume, as well as the on/off switch. The body is made with a reflection-free front cabinet design, yet remains compact with dimensions of 274mm x 186mm x 266mm (H x W xD). For what they offer, the Ayra 5 should definitely be considered by those looking to get the most for their money, while remaining cost-effective.
