Adam Audio Sub15 Active Subwoofer 15-inch / 1000 W

The Adam Audio SUB15 is a highly powerful 15.5-inch subwoofer which is designed to extend low frequency capabilities down to 20Hz, great for main and midfield monitors.

The unit is constructed with rigid aluminium membrane and driven by two powerful magnets and a 100mm voice coil perfect for precise sound reproduction. To prevent overheating the PWM Amplifier produces over 90% efficiency. Additionally, the Sub 15 can also withstand critical musical passages over long periods of time and intense bursts of bass peaks without displaying any distortion. Also included within the design is the downward firing bass port which has ample dimensions and rounded edges to cancel any port noise.

The sound of the Sub15 can be altered to suit the environment or individuals taste through numerous controls including volume (-60dB to 6dB) and crossover frequency (50Hz to 150Hz). The sub can also be easily integrated into a Dolby surround as the satellite speakers can be driven at full range or high pass filtered at 85Hz. Additionally, there is a phase reverse switch supplied which controls the relationship between the satellites and the subwoofer (especially the crossover frequency).

The Adam Audio Sub 15 is equipped with balanced (XLR) and unbalanced (RCA) input and output connectors, found on the rear of the unit, which allows the woofer to be used in the home or studio environments. Low precision and natural tones can be achieved thanks to the superb transient response and impressive low frequencies. Undistorted and high sound pressure output is 120dB maximum SPL at one meter, which makes the Sub15 ideal for any mid to larger sized rooms.
