Novation has specifically designed the Impulse keyboard to allow you to create expressive performances and features ultra-responsive keys with semi-weighted action and aftertouch; the full-sized piano keys let you adapt to any instrument you’re playing such as organs, synths and pianos. While you’re playing the keyboard, unique High Rate Scan (HRS) technology scans the keyboard 10,000 times a second to perfectly capture every subtle nuance of your performance.

The Impulse keyboard lets you sculpt your sound by using the smooth-action knobs, low-profile 45mm faders as well as loads of assignable buttons and a custom LCD screen that enables you to navigate the various settings and functions. All of the controls work seamlessly with major music editing software and can be mapped to any parameter. You can play drums in real time thanks to the eight pressure-sensitive beat pads that can also be used for rolling beats, looping drum samples and creating arpeggios. The pads also function as multicoloured clip launchers in Ableton Live, letting you see when a clip is loaded (yellow pads), playing (green pads) or recording (red pads).
