Seamless DAW Integration
Launchkey 25 MK4 provides seamless integration with all major DAWs right out of the box, including Ableton Live, Logic, Cubase, Reason Studios, Reaper, FL Studio, and Ardour. This allows you to effortlessly control transport functions, timeline navigation, mixing and EQ, clip launching, and instrument and effect parameters. When using Ableton Live’s Session View or Logic’s Live Loops, the 16 drum pads double as Launchpad-style clip launchers with RGB backlights that match what you see on screen.
Enhanced Creative Capabilities
The creative tools availlable in Launchkey 25 MK4 are built directly into the hardware, ensuring they function consistently across your DAW, hardware synths, or mobile devices. Scale Modes let you lock your keyboard to one of 30 different scales, eliminating wrong notes or even mapping everything to just the white keys. Fixed Chord mode triggers full chords from a single key, while new Chord Maps enable the creation of emotive progressions from Launchkey’s pads. The latest iteration of the arpeggiator offers easier manipulation of sequences for endless inspiration.
Responsive Keybed and Pads
The 25-note synth-style keyboard is expressive, musical, and a pleasure to play. For finger drummers, Launchkey now features patented, velocity-sensitive FSR drum pads with polyphonic aftertouch. Each pad includes a unique radial sensor, enhancing sensitivity and consistency for tighter performances. They can also be configured to trigger chords or individual notes with polyphonic aftertouch.
Customisable Controls
Customise Launchkey’s controls to fit your needs using the free Components software. You can configure the pads and encoders to behave exactly as you want with your software or hardware, storing up to four custom mappings and recalling them instantly from the hardware. This flexibility allows you to send your chosen notes, MIDI CCs, or program changes with ease.
Beyond the DAW
With Launchkey 25’s five-pin MIDI output, connecting to your hardware synthesizer is simple and requires no DAW. Combined with Components and custom mappings, you can directly control essential functions from your keyboard. Launchkey is USB-powered and class compliant, making it fully compatible with numerous music-making apps for iPhone and iPad, including the free Novation Launchpad app.

The package comes with Ableton Live 12 Lite, allowing you to record and perform with up to eight tracks of MIDI or audio, alongside a suite of instruments, effects, and creative tools that integrate perfectly with Launchkey. Additionally, you receive a selection of studio-grade effects and sounds from Novation and Focusrite.
