Novation's Launchkey 49 MK3 is designed to offer deep integration with Ableton Live music production software. However, if you are not an Ableton user then not to worry the launch key supports all major digital audio workstations including; Cubase, Studio One, ProTools, Reason and Logic Pro. Meaning you don't have to worry about integration.

If you are a hardware synth user or into modular synthesisers, you can use this controller along with its groundbreaking features in standalone mode, thanks to the 5-pin MIDI DIN output. This is great for live performers that may travel with extensive equipment and need a feature-rich yet portable solution for sending MIDI data to other pieces of gear.

The Launchkey 49 MK3 has been intelligently redesigned for deep integration with Ableton Live and its latest features. Groundbreaking functions such as Capture MIDI are now right at your fingertips. The Launchkey platform has always been about flexibility, and the MK3 revision carries this mantra at its core. Larger, improved velocity-sensitive pads provide greater control over dynamics, and eight fixed rotary knobs bring your software to life at your fingertips. The integration with Ableton Live is truly seamless, with a dedicated button for activating the Capture MIDI function, plus track arm, quantise, click and loop controls, for flying around your Session faster than ever.

If you lack any formal training in music theory, then this keyboard controller is even more suitable for you thanks to the advance scale and chord modes. The eight scale modes will be your guide into new musical possibilities by transposing playable notes in your chosen scale to the notes chronologically. Don't forget to use the faders for hands-on mixing or automating effect sends.

You also get a whole host of software with the Launchkey 49 MKIII controller, some of which has been exclusively procured for this product launch. Spitfire Audio has included a professional quality orchestral string sample library as part of their LABS range. Additional to this Klevgrand R0Verb and DAW Cassette, XLN Audio Addictive Keys, AAS Session Bundle are also included, along with Ableton Live Lite software.

Firmware Update v1.1 introduces the new Strum Mode to the Launchkey series, a creative tool that adds an extra element to your production, helping to elevate it to the next level. You can now hold down and play a specific note and trigger Strum Mode using the mod strip/mod wheel found on the Launchkey MIDI keyboard controllers. Strum Mode can be used simultaneously as other features and arpeggiator modes on Launchkey devices that unlock new possibilities to your music production.
