The Oberheim OB-X8 desktop module is a powerful, compact, modern reissue of the legendary OB-X8 analog synthesizer, making it available to feature within anyone’s studio setup. The compressed unit features OB-X8 presets, sound editing controls and synthesis features. The OB-X8 desktop version is almost identical to the keyboard version except for the 61-note Fatar keybed and the pitch and mod levers.
The OB-X8 desktop module is a polyphonic synthesizer that features eight voices of polyphony, meaning it can play up to eight notes simultaneously. In addition, it has two discrete OB-X/SEM-lineage VCOs per voice, discrete SEM-lineage VCFs, Genuine Curtis filters, and multiple envelope generators, giving you a wide range of sound-shaping capabilities.

Classic Page 2 parameters (functions unlocked within the original Ob-8) are included along with new ones that were created in 2022. This provides access to over 40 nuanced controls, including per-voice panning, additional SEM filter modes, LFO keyboard tracking, independent pulse width control, Mod delay time and envelope inversion, and more.
