The Primacoustic RX7-DF Recoil Stabiliser is a nearfield monitor mounting device that is designed to reduce unwanted resonance from supporting surfaces and low-frequency driver movements. It sits nicely between the speaker and the surface to absorb unwelcome vibrations whilst providing a stable base.
The Primacoustic RX7-DF Recoil Stabiliser is a nearfield monitor mounting device that is designed to reduce unwanted resonance from surfaces and low-frequency driver movements. It positions nicely between the speaker and the shelf, desk or stand to absorb unwanted vibrations whilst providing a stable base.
The platform is built using high-density urethane foam, heavy ¼-inch laser-cut steel plate to add substance and a thin neoprene surface with a non-slip coating to ensure stability. In total, four elements make up the RX7s; isolation foam, steel platform, retention pad and curved front panel.
Isolation Foam – high-density open cell acoustic foam which provides sound isolation to eradicate blending between surface and loudspeaker.
Steel Platform – ¼-inch (6mm) laser-cut steel platform stabilises and provides firmness to keep the nearfield monitor in place.
Retention Pad – the neoprene surface is thin with a non-slip coating which secures the monitor and provides maximum signal transfer.
Curved Front Panel – this panel eliminates standing waves and adds mass without it being too overly bulky.
Through using the RX7DF, you will notice an improved transient response, increased frequency detail, more punch, extended low end and a more detailed depth of field. DF stands for Down Fire which introduces a 5° degree angle to compensate for the added 2" (5cm) height that the Recoil Stabilizer will introduce when put in position. This is a great choice if the speaker monitor is on elevated fixed shelving.
