The RCF ART 935-A Active PA Speaker offers next-level performance. A two-channel Class-D amplifier with a peak output of 2100W provides 50 percent more power than previous loudspeaker models. That means extreme SPL handling, expressive transient response, and low heat loss from a speaker designed for rental and mobile applications.

RCF ART 935-A features a 2-channel Class-D amplifier, with 2,100 Watts of power, is 50 percent more powerful than previous models, capable of handling exceptionally high sound pressure levels with an ultra-fast attack, realistic transient response, and very low heat loss.

The amplifier is attached to a solid aluminium heat exchanger in the back of the machine, and there are no moving parts, so there is no need for a cooling fan. The amplifier is sturdy and substantial within the cabinet because it is directly attached to the internal structure. The input circuit has a revolutionary low-distortion design with an improved safety limiter that keeps the input signal's real character at all levels. All ART 9 amplifiers are built to EN62368-1 standards for maximum safety and include a Switch Mode Power Supply section that combines high efficiency with low weight.

High-pitched tones:

New bonding process and stronger ribs make the new 1.75" compression driver voice-coil design with Polyimide-Kapton dome 10 times more robust than prior models. The phase plug was also changed to improve sound clarity and precision, as well as coupling with the low-frequency transducer.

Low-frequency signals:

Low-frequency transducer design improves stability across larger currents, reduces distortion, and improves heat dissipation efficiency. RCF maintains a high level of quality control. Our woofers are put through their paces with a 200-hour continuous signal to put the transducer through its paces. ART 9 can only be fitted with the best woofer design.

On the Road and on Stage:

The RCF ART 935-A Active PA Speaker can be used as the main system or as a floor monitor. Because of its versatility, it's a good fit for a variety of live sound applications. The cabinet has ergonomic handles on both sides and the top, making it easy to transport. A steel pole support for mounting on a stand or subwoofer pole can be found on the lower side. Using several M10 rigging points and special accessories, each model can also be flown, wall- or truss-mounted. ART 9 delivers maximum strength for intensive use on the road, as well as being ideal for fixed installation, from the moulding to the final texture.

A fresh take on the cabinet:

An ART 9 cabinet's professional appearance is perfect for live events or installed applications. The slim cabinet is made of a unique polypropylene composite material and features a completely new construction approach. The heavy-duty steel grille cover protects both the transducers and the vented ports. The M-brace joins the four internal sides of the cabinet and amplifier, preventing any deformation and providing enhanced acoustical damping even at maximum volume levels. It also serves as a reinforcing structure to increase mechanical stress resistance.

Designing for the future:

The innovative design of the ART9 may be found within the speaker's enclosure. The new True Resistive Waveguide is the product of multiple Finite Element Analysis advancements in the transducer and vented port designs, as well as constant testing in RCF anechoic chambers. The speaker now acts as a single ideal source for a beautiful sound picture thanks to FiRPHASE technology, the improved shape, and the location of the ports. Acoustically, the TRW waveguide simulates a clean resistive load with no resonance, decreasing the high-frequency distortion of a traditional horn. The coverage angle of the waveguide delivers continuous directivity to the whole listening area and better stereo panorama thanks to its asymmetrical sound shaping.

Motion Control for Bass:

RCF engineers discovered a technique to eliminate the high-pass filter and replace it with a forward-thinking approach in order to get extended bass with improved performance. BMC (Bass Motion Control), a new enhanced woofer excursion management feature, is now available. BMC-enabled speakers can withstand the lowest audible frequencies without compromising woofer stability, resulting in improved linearity and sound integrity.

The BMC technique generates a bespoke algorithm that solely regulates over-excursions by producing a comprehensive map of the woofer's dynamic behaviour. The transducer now has complete signal reproduction flexibility. When high-pass filters are used to keep woofer motion from becoming destructive but change the phase behaviour, the new BMC algorithm defies the rule. The ART 9 & NX 9 have a degree of DSP audio performance never seen before in this range of speakers when combined with FiRPHASE technology.
