Reason 13 is a virtual Rack that lets you combine instruments and effects to create whatever sounds you desire. It can function as a plugin or as a standalone DAW, with recording, sequencing, mixing, and other standard features. Reason 13 is all about making music.

Reason 13 prioritises workflow, with an updated sequencer, five new devices, a redesigned browser, and even more sounds. Reason 13 is not only visually appealing, but it also sounds fantastic. Along with the sequencer, the entire Reason interface has been revamped.

New Browser

The new Browser organises all patches, samples, and loops into a single location. Find the right sound by filtering by name, kind, category, and tag. Simply enter in what you are looking for, and the browser will make suggestions, or use the Category and Tag icons to narrow your search and discover new sounds.

Tag Feature Content

Reason's content is now categorised and classified, allowing you to discover sounds in entirely new ways. This applies to all soundbanks, Reason studio gadgets, and sound packs. More than two decades of sound design are available for use, and everything not previously identified can be labelled by you.

Sequencer Upgrade

The sequencer has been divided in two. The new Edit Area allows you to play with the nuances of your music while keeping track of the arrangement. The redesigned sequencer includes various new workflow features, such as greater zooming, layout adjustments, and quick access to editing settings, making it easier to make music.

New Sounds

The Reason 13 sound bank library now contains over 1000 new patches, samples, REX loops, demo tracks, and song starter templates.

Polytone Dual Layer Synthesiser

Polytone is a synthesiser created for synth enthusiasts. It was inspired by vintage equipment and was created to mimic the warm analogue tones that you are familiar with. Even better, Polytone includes two levels that can be combined or warped to produce enormously fat or morphing sounds.

Ripley Space Delay

Ripley mixes delay and reverb with unique filtering, noise, and distortion effects. When combined with comprehensive modulation, you may achieve any delay you want, from sharp taps or warm analogue sounds to crazy lo-fi chirps or faded out ambiences. Everything that lends character and dimension to your song.

Reason Tools

Three new technologies simplify typical chores, resulting in a more productive workplace. The Sidechain Tool ducks signals, the Gain Tool controls signal levels, and the Stereo Tool makes a simple signal sound larger and wider.
