Reason 13 is a virtual Rack where you are able connect instruments and effects to produce the sounds you want. It can be used as a plugin or as a complete DAW, with recording, sequencing, mixing, and all of the other standard features. Reason 13 is all about making music.

Workflow is at the forefront of Reason 13 and brings with it an upgraded sequencer, five new devices, brand new browser and even more sounds. Reason 13 is not only visually appealing, but also sounds amazing. Along with the sequencer, the entire Reason interface has been revamped.

New Browser

The new Browser consolidates all patches, samples, and loops into a single location. Find the ideal sound by filtering via everything from name and type to categories and tags. Simply input what you are looking for, and the browser will make suggestions, or use the Category and Tag icons to narrow your search to find a new sound.

Tag Feature Content

Reason's content is now categorised and classified, allowing you to explore sounds in a whole new way. This covers all soundbanks, Reason Studios devices, and sound packs. More than two decades of sound design is available for you to use and anything that isn't already tagged can be tagged by you.

Sequencer Upgrade

The sequencer has been divided into two. The new Edit Area allows you to get hands-on with the nuances of your song without losing track of the arrangement. The redesigned sequencer has various new workflow improvements, enhanced zooming, layout modifications, and quick access to editing options, making it easier to create your music.

New Sounds

In Reason 13, the sound bank library has been expanded with over 1000 new patches, samples, REX loops, demo songs, and song starting templates.

Polytone Dual Layer Synthesiser

Polytone is a synthesiser for synth enthusiasts. Inspired by antique hardware, its created to replicate the warm analogue tones you know and love. Something even better, Polytone features two levels that may be stacked or warped to produce incredibly fat or evolving sounds.

Ripley Space Delay

Ripley blends delay and reverb with distinct filtering, noise, and distortion effects. When combined with comprehensive modulation, you can generate any delay you wish - from clean taps or warm analogue sounds to insane lo-fi chirps or faded out ambiences. Everything that lends personality and dimension to your song.

Reason Tools

Three new devices that simplify typical activities for a more efficient workflow. Sidechain Tool is used to duck signals, Gain Tool controls signal levels, and Stereo Tool is a stereo widener designed to make a simple signal sound larger and wider.
