HK Audio Linear 3 L3115FA 15-Inch Active Loudspeaker

The HK Audio Linear 3 L3115FA is an active loudspeaker that comes equipped with a large 15-inch woofer alongside a powerful Class D amplifier and a digital signal processor that lets you get the best sound possible at all times. This speaker works great as a front of house speaker, on-stage monitor, or satellite speaker and works excellently with a Linear series subwoofer. The L3115FA is perfect for a range of applications including mobile DJs, theatres, schools and colleges, events productions, bands, musicians, club and bar venues, music venues, and conferences.

This loudspeaker comes equipped with a large 15-inch low-frequency woofer as well as a 1-inch high-frequency tweeter that work to deliver a broad frequency response that ranges from 49 Hz – 18 kHz. A bi-amplified design provides you with a robust 1200w Class D amplifier that can reach an impressive sound pressure level of 135dB. Active protection circuits work to prevent the speaker from damaging the system; the protection circuits include a thermal protector with a look ahead temperature control, under-voltage and over-current protection, short circuit protection, a subsonic filter, as well as peak, RMS, and multiband limiters.

An integrated digital signal processor provides you with controls that ensure you will always get the best sound possible. Four EQ presets offer bass boost, low-frequency flat, mid/high-frequency flat, and contour settings so you can shape your sound as you please. An intelligent multi-band limiter prevents the drivers from being overloaded and ensures tonal integrity at every volume level while an adjustable FIR crossover filter lets you get the perfect sound when used with a subwoofer. The super low total harmonic distortion means your audience will not experience listening fatigue. The directional drivers work to reduce reflection off of walls and ceilings.

The L3115FA’s rear panel offers a range of audio connections for easily connecting to mixers, instruments, and microphones. The connections include two combo ¼-inch TRS Jack/XLR inputs, a stereo RCA input, two XLR thru outputs for linking multiple speakers, and an XLR mix output. The cabinet features a heavy duty 16mm thick MDF enclosure that is super-durable and finished with textured acrylic enamel that prevents accidental impacts from damaging the cabinet. A metal grille covers the drivers and is backed with acoustically transparent foam that ensures no dust or dirt will enter the system. Two integrated multi-grip handles ensure ease of transport.
