The Yamaha HS5 Active Studio Monitor has a great feature called "Room Control", which allows you attenuate the unnatural, exaggerated low-end frequencies that can sadly occur when the speakers are placed next to walls. Another cool feature is the polar opposite "High Trim" mode, which gives you greater control over high frequency response.
The full Yamaha HS Series range is fitted with top quality XLR and 1/4" inputs, and is also capable of accommodating a range of balanced and unbalanced sources that may include mixers, keyboards, audio interfaces, and anything else that feature XLR and TRS jacks.
