The Mackie DRM212 is a professional powered loudspeaker that works to deliver class-leading power thanks to an ultra-efficient Class D amplifier that features next-generation protection as well as Power Factor Correction technology that gives you the performance you need.

The addition of an Advanced Impulse Digital Signal Processor offers acoustic correction as well as time alignment via precision tuned FIR filters that give you a crystal clear, punchy sound that is usually only experienced with massive touring systems. A DRM Control Dashboard provides you with a high-contrast, full-colour display on the rear of the speaker that allows you to take full advantage of the powerful DSP. Custom built transducers are housed inside of a tour-grade plywood cabinet which is design to offer a consistent performance even during the most demanding of situations.

Mackie’s Advanced Impulse DSP Module makes use of filtering technology to eliminate anomalies that can usually make speakers have a squelchy or mushy low-end response. The DRM212 corrects this by making the drivers ‘invisible’ and output nothing but a clean and clear sound. By intelligently employing FIR filtering the Advanced Impulse DSP prevents undesired acoustic anomalies across the entire dispersion zone as well as frequency range and time domain. This process is achieved by measuring the negative frequency response and time domain that effects each transducer and horn and automatically reverses/corrects this before the signal hits the speaker.

The back panel on the DRM212 comes equipped with a DRM Control Dashboard, a full-colour display that allows you to make adjustments to your sound when time is limited, and changes need to happen on the fly. A large super-bright screen enables you to get essential feedback on levels, adjustments, and more. The default window informs you of critical settings at a glance with big green level meters that ensure you can clearly see when you have a signal and when you’re clipping. A large rotary control allows you to make all the adjustments you need, spin to select what you want and push it in to make adjustments. The screen ensures you can control the 3-band parametric EQ, venue-specific voicing modes, adjust the variable crossover, alignment delay, and other necessary configurations.
